- Exxon Mobil Reports Record Profits. 2nd quarter earnings: $11.68 billion. Expectations were higher, and their shares fell on Wall Street. So they feel our pain.
- Sea-Tax. The fine folks in Seattle will pay a tax for using plastic bags, starting next year. The extra $3.5 million will go to green projects in the city. How about a loan for poor Exxon?
- Eco cum laude. The Princeton Review ranks U.S. colleges on their commitment to the environment. Eleven made the Green Honor Roll with their near-perfect scores. (We'll get 'em next year, Chico State!)
