Teenie Weenie Greenie™

This week's Teenie Weenie Greenie™ was inspired by listener Kathy and is to just say no to ATM receipts. If everyone were to taking ATM receipts for a year, we'd save a roll of paper long enough to circle the Earth 12 times!

Listener Emails

Once again, we have a bunch of great listener emails. Keep 'em rolling in at hip@greenfeet.com. And don't forget to post articles, links, and speak your mind at our MHTH forum!

  • She'll be jammin'. Beth is really excited about attending JamCruise, a week-long music festival that takes place on a cruise ship. It's a great event that strives to be as green as possible. A few years ago, they partnered with Trees for the Future, and for every $10 donated by a cruiser, 100 trees are planted to offset the CO2 of the cruise. JamCruise is also working with Blue Sun Biodiesel to develop a biodiesel fuel for the ship this year.
  • Stay static-free. New listener Michele wanted to let everyone know about Static Eliminator, chemical-free dryer sheets that work great!
  • Take the 2 Mile Challenge. Mike heard about Cliff Bar promoting the 2 Mile Challenge and thought it was pretty cool. The challenge promotes riding your bike for trips under two miles. Check out 2MileChallenge.com where you can map your two mile radius and sign up for the challenge.
  • Powered by the sun. Shayna sent along an article about the first solar electric bike.
