A Home Energy Revolution
Mike Tidwell calls the patio from Takoma Park, Maryland to talk to Dori and Val about
how to start your own home energy revolution.
With a budget of $7,500, Mike Tidwell set out to cut his household CO2 emissions by 80 percent. By making changes such as
installing a corn burning stove, switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs, line drying clothes, and investing in an extremely high
efficiency refridgerator, he was able to cut his family's electricity use by 52%. For more tips, check out his organization the
Chesapeake Climate Action Network and ClimateEmergency.org
