- Go green at the X Games. Home Depot is continuing the eco-friendly tradition at the X Games by using green materials to build the ramps at this
year's competition.
- Shop till you drop. The Fintura Corporation has introduced the GreenPay MasterCard, which rewards consumer
spending with carbon offsets. The offsets are bought from the Chicago Climate Exchange.
- Vegans "taste better". A new study by the University of Canterbury found that many vegans prefer to only date other
vegans - dubbing the crowd vegansexuals.
- Make a video, change the world. Enter Current TV's Alliance Ecospot Contest by making a 15, 30, or 60
second ad about climate crisis and your video could be shown all over the world.
- Take home some panda poop. If you're planning on making the trip to China for the 2008 Summer Olympics, you might want
to pick up a souvenir made from panda poop.

against the bottled water industry, the International Bottled Water
Association is launching a series of ads focusing on the health benefits of drinking water.

teaching kids healthy habits. Along with the show, Shaq O'Neal has also been campaigning for healthier school lunches in Florida.
- News from Treehugger. Doug sent along an article about how the Discovery Channel has purchased Treehugger.com for
$10 million.
- Plastic water bottles ok? Joanne found an from John Hopkins University that says plastic
bottles do not have dioxins.
- Work for your TV. Rebecca in Boston found a bike generator, the Windstream Pedal Power Generator, that can be hooked
up to most appliances - just pedal for energy!
- Cardboard footbridge. Big Ed found a story about a footbridge made of cardboard tubes has been
constructed over a river Southern France. He also found a story about EVERLED
LED fluorescent lights that have a 10-year life span.
