A Green Topic Stew We're covering a little bit everything today, you could call it a "green topic stew". Here's what we got:
Listener Emails Once again, we have a bunch of great listener emails. Keep 'em rolling in at hip@greenfeet.com. And don't forget to post articles, links, and speak your mind at our MHTH forum!
- Raven sent along a great article about one of our favorite things... chocolate! Read Cocoa of Many Colors.
- Write it in a letter. This was sent to us from our own Jillicious. Write a letter to your representative demanding real action on global warming, and Al Gore will personally deliver it to Washington this month.
- Calculate your impact. Liz from NY sent along a link to the Eating Green Calculator, which calculates the impact of your eating habits on your body and the environment.
- Tire reef disaster. Beth sent an article about the artificial tire reef off the coast of Florida. A salvage effort to remove all of the tires is expected to run through 2010 and cost the state around $3.4 million.
- Congrats to Alison! Alison and her husband are expecting the first Teeny Weenie Greenie Baby! Congrats!
- Allison (another one!) found an article about Al Gore earning money from zinc mining. He's not perfect, but he does offset the pollution the mine creates.
