News:
- Phasing out ozone-killers. Almost 200 countries have agreed to speed up the
elimination of hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC's).
- Lights out in San Francisco. An organization called Lights Out San Francisco is asking city
residents and businesses to install CFL's and turn out all unnecessary lights from 8-9 PM on Saturday October 20th.

know that 10% of our landfills are old phone books? Try calling your phone company and see
if they have a list that you can be removed from. If not, ask who prints the phone book
and call them. If you can't stop the delivery of the phone book, make sure you recycle them!
