Flexible Scheduling Stirs Up Workers Wal-Mart, Target, Radio Shack, and Mervyns are just a few of the major retailers to implement flexible shifts for their workers. Instead of scheduling employees for predictable shifts, a computer system schedules employees based on the number of customers in the store at any given time. Employees are not happy with the new system which demands more flexibility and availability without a predictable paycheck. What are your opinions on flexible scheduling?
